Description
What are IoT sensors?
The IoT Sensors (Internet of Things) are intelligent and interconnected devices that collect information through the Internet and transmit it to a centralized system. Thanks to these sensors, it is possible to monitor different aspects of the territory in real time to allow the Administration to make informed decisions, in order to improve its management.
What sensors do we use in the city?
- Access counters - They monitor the flow of people accessing the Town Hall. The information collected helps us to improve the management of spaces, ensure safety, optimize resources and, in particular, evaluate the efficiency of the online services offered to Citizens, Companies and Professionals, thus supporting the Entity's digital progress.
- Sensors for CO2 monitoring - They measure the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This makes it possible to assess air quality and intervene promptly with targeted actions to improve public health, especially in the busiest or most industrialized areas.
- Sensors for air pollution - They detect levels of pollutants in the atmosphere, such as fine particulate matter (PM10, PM2.5, PM1) and other harmful gases. They are able to quantify the temperature, pressure and humidity of the air, giving way to evaluate the quality of the air itself, and therefore of the environment.
Thanks to these sensors, the Municipality can take the most correct measures to reduce pollution, protect the environment and ensure the health of citizens.
